What can I expect during my child's vaccine consultation?We are committed to providing thorough, holistic care. During a routine vaccine visit, we assess your child’s developmental and physical milestones, including weight and height, and administer immunizations according to the South African Immunisation Schedule. We also ensure there’s plenty of time to answer any questions you may have.

Do you accept walk-ins, or do I need to book in advance?You will need to book in advance to secure your preferred time and reduce waiting times. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate walk-ins.

What is your cancellation policy?If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. We levy a R250 charge on no "call, no-show."

Does Mums & Bums do pregnancy ultrasounds?We currently do not offer pregnancy ultrasounds, but work with our ultrasound partner LifeScan Studios to provide you holistic pregnancy care. Please contact us for more information regarding this.

When should my baby get their first vaccines?After the vaccinations given at birth, in the hospital. The first routine vaccinations are given at 6 weeks, according to the South African immunisation schedule.

What if my child misses a scheduled vaccine?Don’t worry, we will help you catch up safely. Just contact us to book a visit and update your child’s records.

Are vaccines safe for my baby?Yes. Vaccines are carefully tested and monitored to ensure they are safe and effective for children.

Do you accept medical aid for consultations?Yes, we accept all major South African medical aids. Coverage depends on your specific plan, so we recommend checking with your provider.

Will I receive an invoice for my visit?Yes, we provide a tax invoice for every consultation. Since we are a paperless clinic, invoices, and receipts are emailed to you after your appointment.
